The Classic Gyro Sandwich
Ingredients
1 Package
Opaa! ReadyCarved™ Gyro Slices
3 Pieces
Kronos® Pita Bread
6 Tbsp
Opaa! Tzatziki Sauce
3 Tbsp Olive Oil (for griddle)
9 Slices Tomato
1 Whole Red Onion (thinly sliced)
Optional Greek Olives
Optional Feta Cheese
Optional French Fries (on top)
Optional Cucumber
Optional Lemon Wedge
Preparation
Brush pitas lightly with oil on both sides and heat on a large non-stick skillet until soft and slightly browned (set aside)\
Heat the large non-stick skillet to high, add the ReadyCarved Gyro Slices and stir frequently for 2 minutes (or temp reaches 165 degrees)
Lay pitas flat with bubbles facing up.
Add a good portion of gyro meat (about 4 oz.) down the middle of the pita bread.
Add 2-3 slices each of tomato and onion and two tablespoons of Tzatziki sauce.
