Churrasco-Style Gyro Street Tacos


  • 1/2 Package of Opaa! ReadyCarved™ Gyros Slices
  • 5 Kronos Pita Bread (or tortillas)
  • 1 Tbsp Chimichurri Sauce*
  • 1/4 oz Thinly Sliced Red Onion
  • 1 tsp Crumbled Feta or Cotija Cheese
  • 1 Bunch Fresh Italian Parsley
  • 1 Cup Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 Cup Fresh Cilantro Leaves
  • 1 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Champagne Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Finely Diced Spanish Onion


Makes 5

  • Preheat a griddle to 325°F.
  • Warm the Kronos Pita Bread on a skillet
  • Heat the ReadyCarved Gyros Slices in the oven, microwave or on a skillet until hot.
  • Fill the warm Pita Bread with the heated Gyros Slices and top with Chimichurri Sauce.
  • Garnish with the Thinly Sliced Red Onion and Crumbled Feta or Cotija Cheese.

Chimichurri Sauce Recipe:

  • In a blender or food processor, add Fresh Italian Parsley, Fresh Basil, Fresh Cilantro, Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice, Champagne Vinegar, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, Salt, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  • Process until well blended and emulsified.
  • Stir in the Finely Diced Spanish Onion.
